Wow, am I a crappy blogger or what?! I am such a blogging slacker, it's not even funny!!!!!!

Well....lots of things to talk about....the first being

I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Garret proposed :)

It was the most romantic thing ever....I couldn't stop crying. He proposed on our 2 year anniversary, at Saddleranch (where we met).

My ring is BEAUTIFUL...I can't stop staring at it. Is that normal? LOL.

And now comes the planning.....location, date, guest list, menu, flowers, dress, etc etc etc! I'm exhausted and I've only been engaged for one week and two days!!!

Other big news....Amber and Greg welcomed Autumn Paige into the world! She was born on July 1st at 4:55p.m. She is such a beautiful baby....I am in love with her. Congrats Am and Greg....so happy for you guys :)

Also, exciting events are coming up! I am going to see the best band of all time, No Doubt! My sister and I have amazing seats for their show in Irvine on August 1st.

The twins' bday party is August 2nd....

Long time, no blog!

Ugh! I have been slacking lately! I just looked at my blog and I cannot believe I haven't blogged since BEFORE Stagecoach! Eeeek.
Well....not too much has changed since then....but a lot has definitely happened!.
***My good friend Julie is PREGGERS!!!!!!! Garret and I could not be more excited for her. It's the best news I've heard in a really long time. She is going to the absolute BEST mom in the world. And Kyle will be an amazing dad! I am so excited for them and cannot wait to meet their little one. (And judging by Julie's morning sickness, I think it's a boy!) :)

Last weekend, we took the girls to the aquarium (pictures to come). They had a great time! Madison's favorite part was the dolphins. Unfortunately, there are no dolphins there. LOL. But they both had a blast.

This weekend, Garret has a softball tournament all day Saturday. And next weekend, we're heading up to my house for a relaxing pool day!

We are so excited. We are going out tonight to buy supplies...I'm getting a manicure tomorrow night...and Thursday night, we're headed out to Vic and Nelson's to get the trailer ready!
It's going to be such a fun weekend....I cannot wait!!!

Okay, first off, I will post pictures sometime this weekend bc I have A LOT to post!!!

Second, I am so excited! Stage Coach is next freakin' weekend! This means that I need to tan, diet and get some cute new outfits before next Friday. We are leaving next Friday morning and coming back Monday afternoon. It's going to be such a fun weekend!!!!

This week has gone by pretty fast, luckily. Two more days until the weekend. I have a bridal shower to attend and the big fight is on Sat night! Lidell VS. Shogun (I think that is how you spell it).

Livin' on love!

Ahhhhh!!! I'm so excited! So, last night Garret talked to cousin Mel and cousin Mel said they were all going to state line to see Alan Jackson and Trace this weekend! And lucky for us, two people can't make it tonight so Garret and I are getting their seats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are heading out to Primm after I get off work (around 12) and seeing my favorite country artist of all time! ALAN JACKSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am charging my camera as we speak so I will get some G-O-O-D shots. I am so excited. We are so grateful to get to go to this concert....Garret's family in Hesperia (and cousin Mel) are the BEST!

Catching Up

Ah! I've been such a blogging slacker! So...this past weekend, we went to Las Vegas for Garret's birthday. It was a blast! We stayed at the MGM Grand (of course) and went with Jack, Bacon and Larry. I am printing pictures this weekend, so hopefully on Monday, I will have them available for your viewing pleasure!

So, this week crawled by! I am just so glad it's finally Friday. I need a drink, I need sleep and I need to not come into work!!! I want to see my family but it looks like I'll have to wait until next weekend for that to happen.

Oh crap. I still need to post pictures of the apartment, don't I?! Well, we are going to put shelves and picture frames up this weekend so maybe I'll take some good pictures once that is done.

So...today is St. Patrick's day and it was a day full of ups and downs.
It was also my friend Demetria's birthday. Judy and I got to work early and went ST. PATRICKS DAY crazy on her desk and surrounding area (pictures to come soon!)
Demi had a b-day bash at the Suede lounge this past Saturday night. It was really fun! Garret and I dressed up, which we never get to do, and came out to celebrate with her and her friends and fam. We had a great time! Pictures of that to come soon as well!!!

On a sad note...

Our family dog, Shannon, passed away today....
It was extremely sad. We have had her since I was in 7th grade.
Unfortunately, my parents were in Mammoth when it happened so my sister and I experienced some hard times the past two days with Shannon. But today was her day...and she is up in dog heaven now with our other dogs..Tazzy, Shelly and Chauncey. I don't want to type too much because I'll start to cry and you all know how I hate to cry!
We will miss you. We love you, Shannon Sparkles Burzlaff.

Hump Day

Half way through the week!
So, tonight Am is coming over for our weekly ANTM sessions. We make dinner and watch America's Next Top Model. Tomorrow night, we're going to watch Greg race his car in Irwindale. Should be fun!
Our apartment is coming along! We got our dining room table this weekend and the dining area looks great. We had a couple people over on Saturday night (our first get together at the apartment) and it went great. Greg spilled twice but besides that, nothing bad happened! LOL.
I know I keep saying I'll post pictures but I really will take pics this weekend and put them up.
Maybe I'll take pics of Greg racing tomorrow and post those on Friday...

The Crib

Ok ok ok...I know I haven't posted any pictures of the apartment yet...I suck!
I'll take some tonight and post them tomorrow...promise!!! I really want to put pictures up once everything is set up and the apartment looks better but I'll take some tonight so everyone can get a sneak peek. :)
We are basically moved in....the couches, the fridge and our bed are set up. We are waiting for our bar stools to come in and we still need to buy our dining room table. Also, pictures and shelves need to be put up so hopefully we'll get to some of that done this weekend!
So far, it's going really good...kinda weird to be on our own, but really fun and exciting at the same time. I feel so grown up...lol.
I really miss my family though. Garret is lucky because his isn't too far away. I hate not being able to see my family as much as I used to....I will just have to go home every single weekend! LOL.
So...like I said, I'll try to take pictures tonight and blog them tomorrow!!!!

Tomorrow....

Well...it's almost here. We are moving into our apartment tomorrow morning....
I'm so emotional! Not to the point where I'm crying, but I am really emotional INSIDE. LOL.
I know that it's going to be fun and exciting and a challenge...but at the same time, it's just so weird that I won't be living at home!!! I really hope I can manage to go home and visit a lot. I won't be able to be away from my house for very long...maybe a few days at a time. LOL...

My room is almost done...my dad is going to take apart my TV and VCR....and I think I'm ready. :(
I will definitely post pictures of this weekend so everyone can see the new place come together.
This weekend is going to be so busy!! My family is going to come down on Sunday to check out the place and help us move in a little more...and on Saturday, Garret and fam are going to help us physically move stuff in. Hope we don't break anything!

A New Chapter

So....Garret and I signed the lease! We are moving in....THIS WEEKEND! I am nervous, excited, scared, stoked, etc, etc!

I can't wait but at the same time, I can't imagine not living at home. I know I am a little old to still be living at home, but I still live there because I want to, not because I had to. I love my family so much. I love watching our weekly shows, eating family dinners, taking day trips, family vacations...basically anything and everything. My mom is always there for me...no matter what. My dad is always going above and beyond to support our family...and he always makes me laugh. And my sister....she is my best friend. We have a sense of humor that is so similar, it's scary! No one else gets it but us. :)

I am so excited for this new chapter in our lives. Having our own place is something we've been talking about for a long time and it's hard to believe it's finally happening. Can't wait to have everyone over!!!

I love you, Garret. Here we go!!!

Fingers crossed!

So this past Saturday, Garret and I checked out apartments. We took tours of apartment complexes, available units, etc. We fell in love with one apartment and ended up submitting our information for a credit check! We are currently on pins and needles, waiting to hear back from the apartment manager. So cross your fingers for us!!!!

Also, today marks the first day of the detox diet with my work buddies, Mel and Judy. We are trying to do the cayenne pepper/lemon water drink. You have nothing but that drink for 7 - 14 days. We're giving it a shot. I'm hoping to stick to it until Friday, at the least.
We are on drink #3 (you're supposed to have 6 -8 a day)...so wish us luck!
And again, cross your fingers that we lose the weight we're hoping to lose!!!!

The best thing just happened!!!!

I was in the front, talking to Keri and I see the Edible Arrangment van pull up... (I hinted back in November that I wanted one of these...lol)

So then Demetria, Judy and Rovy come in the room and we're all watching the delivery man to see where he goes. And he ends up going next door!
But then...he comes back out and comes in our office!!! We all hold our breath as he announces the name of the recepient...

"JESSICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I literally jumped up and screamed!!!! LOL
Garret sent me chocolate covered strawberries in a cute vase with a heart on it.
So delicious. I haven't opened them up yet...but they are on my desk so I can stare at them and think about how much I love my baby...

Last night, I had dinner at this yummy Indian place called Karma. I went with my best friend, who I hadn't seen in awhile. We had a great time...
Caught up on stories, each other's lives, etc. She is going through a semi-difficult time right now...so I just want her to know I'm here for her...

Purple Pirates!

This past Wednesday, my friend Julie got us (Julie, Kyle, me and Garret) V.I.P. tickets to the Pirate Dinner Adventure!!! It was such a great night!!! I had so much fun...I can't even explain it...but I'll certainly try... :)

Julie ordered tickets and upgraded to V.I.P. status...'cause that's how we roll. We received purple bandanas and beads! We were Purple Pirates. Before the show starts, they have snacks in the waiting area. The snacks were so good! Fruit salad, cheese and meat, meatballs, little weenies, etc. We grubbed on that and watched a little pre-show performance. Once we followed our Purple Pirate leader inside, we made our way down to our seats.

What did I tell you?! V.I.P. all the way, baby!!!

The show was so cool. A huge pirate ship in the middle of the room...trampoline in the middle of the ship, moat around the ship...so cool.

Right when we sat down, our Purple Pirate leader walked over to us and pointed to Julie, me and Garret and said "You, you and you...come with me."

We had been chosen!!! (Keep in mind that I had been talking about this ALL day to Julie...how badly I wanted to be in the show...)

Julie and I had been chosen to be treasure hunters for the Purple Pirates and Garret was Steve-ador. We really don't know why that was his name...but his mission was to get the treasure ball passed down the row the fastest.

As treasure hunters, Julie and I (and some other chick) had to go to the other pirate areas and collect our purple flags...then hang them and hoist them up.

We all got confused when it came time to play but we eventually won!! It was hilarious...Julie was soooooo not looking forward to hearing "Treasure Hunt Time!" LOL.

But I could see it in her eyes....she loved it!

All in all, it was such a fun night.

What a weekend!!!
We had a blast on Friday, at Mark's birthday party. Garret kept disappearing and I would always find him at the same spot...the chips and salsa!!! That boy cannot get enough of chips and salsa...
Saturday, Am and I ran some errands. She got blood work done (and she was very brave...lol) and we shopped a little and picked up my favorite fast food, Chick-Fil-A.
Garret and I made some MORE salsa and grubbed on that before heading over to Mark and Nicole's for the fights. We stayed there for the first two fights and then went to Carlos' house to watch the final two fights with everyone there.
SUCH good fights! There were about 30 people at Carlos' house and only two of us wanted GSP to win! And...he did!!! BJ Penn laid there like a slug. It was pretty pathetic and sad to watch. GSP dominated.
We were supposed to go to Judy's birthday party but we didn't make it :(
I know she had a great time though and I wish I could have been there to see her drunk ass sing!!!

On Sunday, we geared up for the Super Bowl. We had snacks galore. Guacamole, chips and dip, salsa, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, Coronas, Bud Light, cheese and crackers, etc.
The game was pretty entertaining!!! Everyone was talking about it being a blow out and the Steelers kicking their butts. But the Cardinals definitely hung in there! I am glad it was such a good game. The Cardinals really proved themselves.
The half-time, however, was WACK. Bruce Springstein? REALLY?! He was awful. And did anyone else see him slide and run into the camera?!? Hilarious.

And even though the Cardinals lost, Garret won $100 and I won $25 from the Super Bowl pools! We can totally use that extra $ for our secret snowboarding trip on Wednesday... :)

Super Bowl Weekend!

Two and a half more hours...two and a half more hours....
Why is this day going by so slow?!?
I'm gonna try to hang in there and finish out the day..but it's gonna be hard!

So, this weekend is going to be fun! Tonight, we're going to Mark's birthday party!! Should be really fun.

Tomorrow, Amber and I are going to run some errands and then at night, Garret and I are going to Carlos' to watch the UFC Fights!

After the fights, we're heading to Korea Town for Judy's birthday bash! It's a kareoke party and if I have a few drinks first, I will get on stage and perform. Lol. And if that does happen, I will make sure Garret takes plenty of embarassing pictures to blog with!

And then on Sunday...it's Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!! Go Cardinals! I don't know much about either team but I want to root for the under dog. Also...I hope I win Garret's Super Bowl pool! That would be some nice cash money money for our up-coming events!

Happy Birthday, Judy!!!

Today is Judy's birthday! Demetria, Keri and I got to work extra early to decorate for Judy. I got the decorations last night and went with a Mardi Gras theme. So cute! I got little masks for us all to wear...and one big one for Judy to rock.

Keri also got a cake, which I personalized with pink frosting (just for Judy).

And we picked up Wing Stop for lunch...which was especially delicious (and sooooo not on my diet). Judy left a little early so she could spend the rest of the day at DisneyLand...

Happy Monday!

This week is already starting out great! My friend at work, Keri, gave Demetria and I fighting beta fish! It's so cool. It is this big bowl with a plant inside that the fish can eat off of. Keri even had our fish personalized. My pebbles and bow are black (because I love black) and my fish is even black! He has a little green in him, which is cool.
I named him Sirius Black (that is the name of Harry Potter's godfather...and I L-O-V-E Harry Potter movies). Sirius loves me. He follows my finger and just stares at me all day.

Demetria's fish is named Buddy Blue. Buddy is dark blue with bright blue highlights. He hates Demetria but we're hoping he warms up.

Keri has a red one named Phoenix (after a X-Men character).

These fish have made my day. I can't wait to watch Sirius grow up!

I love my girls at work. We have a blast. We love getting obsessed with the most ridiculous things. Our obsession recently has been M&M's. I'm the green, Demi is the blue, Judy is yellow and Keri is red.
But yesterday, we started talking about Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake. We started google-ing and we found out that we are all Rainbow Brite characters! So now, of course, we are obsessed with that (in fact, Judy has already blogged about our characters).

Bronzed Buns

One more day and it's Friday!!! This week has been CRAWLING along.
So, I bought a tanning membership today. The place is called Bronzed Buns. My co-workers seem to be pretty amused by the name of it...LOL. I'm going to try and tan every lunch hour during the week. I'm hoping to be pretty tan by the Vegas trip in March!!!
Not much to blog about today....except that my friend Kristen just sent me new pictures of her beautiful baby girl, Madison!
She is already 4 weeks!!! She is so adorable....

It's a boy!

My friend at work, Keri, has had such trouble finding out the sex of her baby! She is due late March and until yesterday, they couldn't tell if the baby was a boy or girl. She did a 3D ultrasound yesterday and just like she suspected, it was a boy! She already has 2 boys so this will complete her mini-basketball team!!!
Can't wait to meet little Julius.

This weekend was pretty easy-going. We went to Cowboy Country on Friday night with Jack and Bacon..which was really fun!

On Saturday, Amie was having a BBQ at the park so we headed over there and met up with Amber, Greg and the girls. I played with the girls on the playground for quite some time! We traveled to different lands, rode a dinosaur and did a treasure hunt! We took a break and Garret and I walked them down to the pond to feed the ducks. Madison liked the geese (or as she called them, the Chickens). They both loved feeding all the birds and ducks. Uncle Garret picked them up and pretended to toss them into the pond, which Kaitlyn loved!

It was a fun trip to the park!

An hour left of work and then the weekend officially starts!
I'm hoping this weekend is relaxing and entertaining at the same time!!!
We're going to Cowboy Country tonight with some friends (side note: I just went on the Cowboy Country website and under "Halloween 2008 pictures", there was me and Garret! We look pretty freakin' cute...the picture is above!)

I want to get a lot of sleep this weekend...drink a lot of Corona and spend a lot of quality time with Garret.

Welcome to the world, Madison!

My good friend Kristen finally popped and had a beautiful baby girl named Madison!!! (See above picture!!!)

She is adorable. I have not been able to see her yet...hopefully we can finally find time this weekend!

I am so happy for Kristen...I remember the day she told me she was pregnant!!!

I got to work super early on her birthday and set up cupcakes and champagne all over our office. I also put signs up and down the hall that led to our office. The signs said things like "Happy Birthday, Kristen!" "Party this way!".. etc.

And we had a really fun birthday party for her...just us three in our office.

I kept trying to make her drink more champagne but she wouldn't....then the very next day, she told me she was pregnant! She had been throwing her champagne in the trash so it looked like she drank!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to see Madison. I know she will grow into a beautiful woman...just like her mom.

Confessions of a Shop-a-holic

Dear Diary,

I am addicted to shopping!!! Above is a picture of the purse Garret got me for Christmas. It's the love of my life (besides Garret)!!!
It's a Tory Burch clutch. It's so pretty. Buttery, brown leather with a gold chain link handle. To die for.
Speaking of which, I am on a budget recently. I'm trying to save money and lately, I've been doing really well! But I had a relapse today. Work was stressful so I went to Nordstrom Rack during my lunch break. I told myself I wouldn't spend over $20 (and Demetria and Keri were supposed to limit me...) but
I ended up finding an older Tory Burch bag (Spring '08) and it was about half off!!! I tried to find a picture to post but I can't find it...
Then, I found a really cute Volcom l/s tee for camping. Only $12.00
STEAL.
So I'm on a tight, tight, TIGHT budget until Friday...

The 1st is obviously Disney WORLD!!!

Garret and I went to Disney and California Adventure on Sunday. Really fun and really hot!

We started out at California Adventure. We waited in line for Mullholland Madness and right before it was our turn, the ride broke and they made everyone exit the line.

WACK.

Then, we walked over to the new Toy Story ride. That was closed too!!! So disappointing.

But we still have a fun day. Got some ice cream, rode a few rides and spent some quality time together.

Garret bought us season passes for my birthday in November so we're trying to go at least once a month. Hopefully we will be able to ride the new Toy Story ride next month!!!

On Saturday night, me, Garret and some friends went to Monster Jam at Angel Stadium. It was my first time going and Garret hadn't been in years.

Tickets were cheap, about $15, and the seats were in the ABSOLUTE last row of the stadium. Surprisingly, we could see everything and the seats weren't bad at all!

It was a-w-e-s-o-m-e.

I want to go again so bad! The trucks were HUGE and some of them were so cute! There was a ninja turtle truck, triceritops truck, Grave Digger and me and Garret's favorite, Maximum Destruction!!! I have a theory that the whole show is rigged though! They totally let Grave Digger win.

Anyway! The trucks raced each other, drove over other cars, flipped, lost wheels, etc. It was the coolest show ever.

I will attend Monster Jam every year for the rest of my life!
